Day Elementary School; “Summer” from Piazzolla’s The Seasons, a stirring trio for violin, cello and piano; and the bouncy spiritual, Ain’t No Grave Can Hold My Body Down.

The festive afternoon/evening event is hosted by MOHAI as part of its popular “First Thursday” free programs and will honor LMC and its immense contribution to Seattle’s musical scene.  At 5:45 p.m. a birthday cake, celebrating the organization and its 125 years of music-making, will be cut on the outdoor Pavilion.
