ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Tallā Rouge, meaning “The Red Gold,” was established by the fiery
Persian-American & Cajun-American violists, Aria Cheregosha & Lauren
Spaulding. Formed under the mentorship of Roger Tapping at The Juilliard
School, & Karoly Schranz of the Takács Quartet, the LGBTQ+ ensemble
made their debut virtually with “Music for Food” in 2020. Tallā Rouge has
since been recognized by the Catalyst Quartet as Nola ChamberFest’s
“Emerging Artists” of the year, and is featured as an Emerging Ensemble
at the 2022 American Viola Society & International Viola Congress. Tallā
Rouge’s intrinsic need to capture the spirit of music is fueled by a mutual
love for outreach, accessibility, and authenticity —values that set the tone
for the duo’s refreshingly intimate stage presence. Sharing the belief that
“good music is good music,” Tallā Rouge presents the works of living composers alongside reimagined
classical works inviting an open dialogue through their diverse programming.
