Come catch popular pianist Danny Holt for his only solo concert this Seattle tour!

At Greenlake’s beautiful Woodlawn Hall, pianist Danny Holt will present one of his signature eclectic programs, taking the audience on a journey featuring rarely-heard works and unusual juxtapositions. A lively sonata by Czech composer Leopold Koželuch kicks off the program, giving audiences the chance to hear a lesser-known contemporary of Mozart and Beethoven. Then Schubert’s most famous song, Erlkönig, gets a virtuosic solo piano treatment by romantic composer Stephen Heller. Chopin’s influence on generations of composers shines through works by Leopold Godowsky, George Crumb, and Jon Batiste. And works by contemporary French pianist-composer Sofiane Pamart and British composer Graham Fitkin bring the program to a rousing close with their jazz and rock influences.

Danny Holt is also a featured soloist with Seattle Chamber Orchestra on Friday, February 6th at 7pm. For more information, visit http://www.seattlechamberorchestra.org/season-25-26.
